Counselling ~ Conflict Resolution ~ Empathy Training
Confidential Counselling and Empathy Training for Individuals, Couples, and Groups
Provider of online counselling as well as online and in-person empathy and communication training. Based in Regina, Saskatchewan.
A fulfilling life is about connection. All of us have challenges, many of us struggle with finding meaning and purpose in life. We all experience some level of depression, anxiety, trauma or grief at some time and many of us turn to substance or process addictions to escape our pain. All of these things are either created or exacerbated by being disconnected from ourselves and our loved ones. It’s helpful to take seriously our past and present unmet needs. Just as you would see a doctor for a physical health issue, you can find help for emotional, spiritual, and relationship issues. You can begin reconnecting now.
My experience as an individual and as a counsellor has shown me that as we learn to identify, connect with, and meet our own needs, we can access an accepting, compassionate, and curious relationship with our emotions, beliefs, and behaviours. We become agents of our own healing.
As a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor my approach to helping people is based on my study and practice of Non Violent Communication (NVC), Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, as well as personally living and working the 12 steps of addiction recovery.
I have a great deal of experience with (and affinity for) working with men individually and in group settings. I believe that transforming the toxic messaging we have been raised with, and healing the relational patterns that couple with these paradigms can have a powerful impact on ourselves, our relationships, our families and communities.
I am currently parenting a Deaf child and have found deep joy and satisfaction in learning ASL and getting to know Deaf people and Deaf culture. At this time I welcome all D/d/Hh people to access my services (with an interpreter) at a reduced rate.
I don't believe that people do well if they "want to". Motivation and will-power are never enough on their own. I believe that people do well if they have the community, support, resources, and love that they need. I enjoy helping people uncover the false beliefs that they have been led to believe about themselves, grieve the impact of these, and move closer to a truth which inspires compassion and forgiveness for self and others. I guide my clients to celebrate the freedom, relief, and renewed joy that this can lead to.
My intention is to earn your trust by providing a safe and accepting counselling environment. I believe that everyone has the capacity for transformation within them. My role is to help you find your internal and external resources, make the changes you desire, help you to celebrate your successes, and empower you to find your way through difficult times with increasing self-compassion. My services can also be helpful for those who wish to make a decent life more satisfying and fulfilling.
Jordan Fieseler
Registered Therapeutic Counsellor
I grew up on a farm in Eastern Saskatchewan and I have been a small business owner and operator in Regina for the past 20 years.
I am the father of a transgendered daughter, and I have parented biological, step, and foster children diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, developmental disorders, FASD, and anxiety disorders. Parenting has taught me a tremendous amount about acceptance, commitment, letting go of control and perfectionism, trusting others’ processes, knowing my limits, and asking for help. I’ve supported people close to me who have healed from Complex PTSD, and I’ve had to do my own inner work to get to a place where I can more fully thrive.
I have been recovering from various addictions for over a decade, and in that time, I have helped many fellow recovering addicts rebuild and refocus their lives. This has given me the ability to add recovery coaching and guidance to the list of skills that I bring to my therapeutic work.
I enjoy bringing playfulness into our time together and I view laughter and fun as crucial components to connection and healing.
