Land Acknowledgement

I descend from European settlers of German and English ancestry. I am working, living on, and benefiting from the Indigenous lands of the Treaty 4 Territory - traditional lands of the Nêhiyawak (Cree), Nakawék (Saulteaux), and Nakota, and homeland of the Métis/Michif, Dakota and Lakota peoples.

I am working to understand my role, my impact, and my responsibilities to accountable action as a white European on these lands. I commit to working to disrupt colonialism and Indigenous specific racism at home, in my community, and at work; and to inviting other descendants of white settlers to join in the personal and political work of reparation and reciprocity.
